Do it OP. I had always wanted one since my mom drove one when I was a kid. At 13/14 I asked my dad if I could get one. His reply was, "If it's your money you can buy whatever you want." Two years later with his help searching I bought one. I still have it and learned a many lesson along the way.

I had a black on black 80' model in high school in 86.That model was underpowered and slow,mine was'nt. Had a fresh crate 350 in it with a 4 speed and 355 rear when i got it. I topped it off with reworked vette heads,aluminum intake double pumper holly and a Hayes dragstrip clutch set up.That yr is a light half frame and that bitch would roll.
I worked after school starting at the age of 12 and held a fulltime job my jr/sr yr (all my friends did).Paid cash for the car and my first years ins up front .

i had a job also my car wasnt too bad 1st one in H.S. got stolen walked to school
cause i only lived 2 blocks away and parking permits were expensive
