1911 shooting rest ideas

Been accurizing a 1911 and I need a rest of sorts to take me out of the equation. What have you used in place of a ransom rest?

Caldwell used to make a rest that used the Ransom grips... been discontinued for a while but you might find one out there..called Caldwell HammrLee engineering( not the same Lee Precision) made one years ago that was more hand held but fairly repeatable...don't know of one being made today that takes the shooter totally out of the equation.

I just found this video by searching based on your information. It's not handheld, but it is interesting...didn't know this existed.
