Anyone familiar with these vehicles? It is starting to run hot after a very short time. I suspect it is the thermostat or water pump, but not very familiar with these newer cars. Anyone have experience with this?

Checked the coolant level? Fan relay/fuse, coming on? With such little info it’s hard to do anything other than guess. They do have an extended warranty for the water pumps but I believe that was through the ‘12 models, my wife’s was replaced after it started weeping and experienced coolant loss.

A good way to check fan operation is to crank it up, and turn on max ac. Fan should come on if working right. Does it overheat while idling at red lights, going down the highway, going slow through town? Is fan shroud still on? Fan relay, water pump, and thermostat as said earlier are likely candidates
