22 bolt guns are fun. For the lower price end of the scale the Ruger american or Savage MK22 (or whatever they are calling their 22lr bolt guns these day) are great. Moving up the scale, CZ and Bergara B14r. I bought the B14r for my daughter as it's fully Remington 700 platform so if you have other stuff that fits the r700 (triggers, scope mount, stocks) it all bolts in. I set it up the same as my 308 so she would have the feel and function down when she moves up. Plus it's just stupid fun to shoot with CCI Quiet ammo.

For semi auto, Ruger 10/22, S&W M&P 15/22 or Ruger Charger are my favorites.

I have a yhm phantom and a dead air mask and can't tell any difference shooting them on my ruger mk 4s. The phantom makes much tighter groups on my cz 457 and was much cheaper. Your mileage may vary.

I have been reading up on 22 cans lately. Never owned or used one.

Have a buddy who swears by the SilencorCo Sparrow. The way it comes apart appears that it could be problematic and it seems cheaply made.

Another fellow I know recommended the Dead Air Mask. A touch pricey for rimfire can, but appears to be solid.

The SOT I have used in the passed recommended the Diligent Defense Road Hunter. Looks decent.

I am only going to get 1 22 can so I want to get it right from the jump.

Any useful 1st hand experience or info would be appreciated. Tha is yall.

Add a Volquartsen trigger/sear and you’ll wish you did from day 1.

The trigger break is like snapping a candy cane. The Volquartsen bolt saves your fingers compared to factory, DLC coating is super slick lead flakes right off it when you clean.

The dot mount I think is made by Burris, uses the rear sight dovetail for a clean shaved look.

Looking at getting another. 22 can and can't decide on another Mask, OCL titanium, or Tbac 22 takedown. Can't find a Tbac locally. Anybody have feedback on it or know where one is?
