.22 lr Firing pin to short

Can't believe this is a discussion. 30 dollars and you have a proper firing pin. But instead, you want to consider adding JB Weld (WTF?!), shipping it somewhere to pay someone money to weld something onto it (wtf!) or other shenanigans. The cheapness of this forum never ceases to amaze.
 
Heat the tip red hot with a torch and draw it out with a hammer.

On the right track.

You don't need to heat it, and risk burning the metal if you do.

Gently peening the pin on a hard surface should lengthen it enough to work. Like BBQ, go low and slow.

Being as it's rimfire, you don't have to worry about working it down so small the primeer flows back in the firing pin hole.
