22 LR prices

long time. but you never will again. they were more than that before the crazy stuff.

Not really. I bought four bricks of Winchester Wildcat online for $86 plus shipping in Feb 2013. And I know I bought a brick of it a year of so earlier for $19.99 at Bass Pro Shop. And I even got a brick of Super-X in a wooden box for $25 that same day.

When is the last time you saw a 500 round brick of 22lr for $20 or less?

When did a "brick" of 22 LR become any other amount besides 500 rounds?

Did anyone ever consider the size and shape of the rectangle box that the ten 50 round boxes were in, resembling a brick?

Most ammo now is loose in cartons or buckets, and there are still some morons calling them bricks. LOL

Gun show this past weekend in Columbia County had the 325 count boxes for $40.
Obviously, we all know gun show prices aren't Wal-mart or Academy, but apparently those vendors still believe there is a shortage that they can gouge upon.

I am seeing a lot of ppl creating bidding wars on sites now because they think 10 cents/round isn't enough to ask for their 5/6 cents/round ammo. I have seen some go up to 22 cents a round. I haven't paid over 6 cents, but since cabela's moved into Georgia in Augusta, I now have to pay tax which along with shipping brings most bricks to 7/8 cents a round for me now, so I haven't bought any in a while. I don't shoot enough 22 LR to run through my supply any time in the next 10 years or longer, I really only shoot it when my kids want to plink. I imagine if/when the hoarding ends, it will still be $25-30 for a brick after taxes.

My wifes grandfather gave me a "bucket" of .22lr he had just sitting for years. If I remember correctly, it was 600 rounds and still had the sticker price of $8.99 I think... It got all shot up though...

Agreed. I am finding it, but it is still .09 per round.
