I am seeing a lot of ppl creating bidding wars on sites now because they think 10 cents/round isn't enough to ask for their 5/6 cents/round ammo. I have seen some go up to 22 cents a round. I haven't paid over 6 cents, but since cabela's moved into Georgia in Augusta, I now have to pay tax which along with shipping brings most bricks to 7/8 cents a round for me now, so I haven't bought any in a while. I don't shoot enough 22 LR to run through my supply any time in the next 10 years or longer, I really only shoot it when my kids want to plink. I imagine if/when the hoarding ends, it will still be $25-30 for a brick after taxes.Gun show this past weekend in Columbia County had the 325 count boxes for $40.
Obviously, we all know gun show prices aren't Wal-mart or Academy, but apparently those vendors still believe there is a shortage that they can gouge upon.
