.22 or .25 - Please advise

If you had to reach for one of them in a situation - what would it be?

Gun would be a small frame auto kept in a duffle bag. Not worried about having a .22 for cheap target pratice or the cost of .25 ammo. I just need to know what would be the better defense round if you ever needed it for that purpose.

.22 all the way for me. lr or mag works but which one are you asking about.

Id go with the .25. Its not a rimfire. It has a primer which wont dud out as much as the .22lr rimfire tends to.

yeah the only downfall is the COST of the ammo. Ammo cost for .25s is nuts! anywhere from 13.99-20.00 a box per 50 rounds. Fired my .25 many times and never had a bad round. The gold dots for the .25 are not too shabby either.

.25 cal has better reliability for ignition

.22, loaded with some Aguila Interceptor, Agulia Super Max Hyper Velocity, or Winchester HE Varmint segmenting 3/1 loads.
I've never seen a .25 that would hold more than 8 rounds, though they may exist. Most semi-auto .22's on the market hold 10. A lil Bersa Thunder .22 would be ideal and reliable.

Of the two, I would choose .22; not a big fan of the .25...but that's my opinion without any real stats to back it up.
