I just loaded up 5 rounds as advertised just to see how they do.

I ran a single round to see if it cleared the barrel and it did. Turns the rifle into a single shot bolt action but man, it’s actually quite fun and QUIET! Wish I had a croni to verify average velocity.

3.1 grains per will make a lot of rounds.

I ended up going with a 2.215 OAL as well and all 5 ran and hit paper just fine. For a little plinking load, I’m happy!

I was just thinking about .223 subs today :)
I have one of these molds
.227 75gr Gas Check
I'm still waiting on my Gas Check maker, but I could totally cast you up some and powder coat them. I bet they'd be something like 80gr powder coated.. but would fit and work great for subs.
I'll size to .225" let me know if you wanna go down the rabbit hole with me :)

80gr @ 1,080 is only 207ft lbs :) .380ACP power haha

Why not just shoot 22LR about the same energy and cycle

It was just for fun since I don’t collect stamps. On the plus side, I’ve got a private range that I occupy on a regular basis and like to experiment hand loads haha

Hi. I used to have trailboss, but I sold it. I am going to do a test with, lets see. Silhouette, AA#7, N330, N320, Sport Pistol, IMR Target, Blue Dot, 3N37, 3N38 and Shooters World Clean shot.
I guessed what charges to use to get between 1000-1100 FPS. I am using the most accurate bullets money can buy that I am aware of, that are 55 grain, flat base. I will test at 50 yards. I have 21 different loads prepared. 2 loads with each powder. And then a fun load, which is 10 grains of 3N38.
