I need a good accurate starting load for a Rem 700 in 250 savage. I am using Nosler Ballistic tip 100 Gn. (Part number 25100). Of the Powders that the Nosler book list for this bullet I have IMR4350, H380, Varget, and H4895. I have other powders but they are not listed in the Nosler Book. Can anybody recommend an accurate load ? I know all rifles are different I just need a good starting point. The rifle does have a Douglas barrel also. Thanks, Dj

Buy a Howa Mini 6.5 Grendel. PSA sells ammo for $15/box. Same thing but maybe not as classy.

If that's too easy, I've always had at least acceptable results using Nosler's most accurate powder tested listed on their web site.

If you have enough brass, I would try loading 10 or so rounds with each of the four powders listed. Start at or just above the minimum loading and work your way up until you find what shoots the best in your rifle. Have fun!
