$279 Beretta 92?

Palmetto State had these a while back, did transfers for a bunch of them. The finishes were all pretty shot. Another thing to consider is the sites are uber low compared to the 92fs were used to, and if I remember right front site is part of the slide, so if you want sites that you don't have to have eagle vision to see you're going to have to do some machining.

I'm pretty sure all you have to do is notch the bottom of a regular mag for it to work, and if I'm not mistaken Promag someone makes theirs that work with either

A bunch of these came over from Italy last year I believe. Mostly positive reviews, but I heard some gripes on the mags and some of the guns were pretty beat up. I wouldn't buy one online, I'd want to inspect it first. It's still gonna cost you every bit of $300. Save a little while more and get a 92fs new or used. I know CG&P had them for $499 NIB, probably with an extra mag too. I've bought too many beater guns because they were cheap. That rarely worked out for me.

I used to be on their mailing list. They send out a lot of email. I never bought but I always thought I could? They sell a lot of eclectic, c&r, odd ball, unusual, mostly inexpennsive guns. Interesting.
