Only on a pocket pistol, too easy to eject the mag while carrying... Especially for up lefties because the button is to the outside

Yes. Before I sold it, one of my last carry guns was a Heckler & Koch P9S. Heel release. Loved it. Both of my current carry guns are button releases and I can't stand it. Feels awkward to me for whatever reason.

Guess I'm just accustomed to heel releases as most of my handguns over the years have used them, and old habits die hard.

I bought one of these last year from Buds. It was a little scuffed up, but it worked fine. I ended up trading it out at a gun show for some other stuff, but it was worth the $300 in my opinion.
