300 Blackout - 150 Grain load

I loaded and fired some 150 grn SST and SP this past week. Only had access to 25 yards.

Load:
RP .300 Brass
16 grn H110
COL 2.150 (barely in the crimp groove)
150 grn SP and 150 grn SST
light-med crimp with Lee Crimp Die (to prevent COL increase upon chambering)

Shot from a wilson combat 16" match barrel with a 2.5x pistol scope (scout setup)

SST grouped 5 shots at just over 0.8" and the SP grouped 5 shots at just under 0.9"

Obviously not very good at 25 yards, but for a first attempt, I had minimal flattening of primers, soft recoil and 100% function on feed, extract, cycle and bolt lock on last round.

Hopefully going to get to try some more loads with varying powder weights in the near future...

I am loading

Pull down m80 147gr with Hodgdon* H110 17g at COL 2.12

Works good no signs of over pressure but never tried the round nose. I load some 245 g round nose for subs that feed fine but they are 2.12 COL as well

As always start low and work up for your setup

I have been loading 30 Cal. Remington 150 grain Bronze Points (B3020) with 15.5 grains of Lil Gun.
They are within 1.2" groups at 100 Yards. I have to put a crony on them though. Book says 1950 fps with energy at 1309.
I am using a COL of 2.105" and they load in the mags with no problem and function in my AR an 8" Sig Saur M400 Spartan Great!
I use a Forrester Press with Redding & Forrester Dies. and use a final Redding Taper Crimp die.
I loaded the same Little gun load with Green 168 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips, but got over 4" groups from them for some reason. That was also before my Redding taper crimp die arrived. I will save the BT for my AR10.

Wish I could find some H110 in stock somewhere!
