300 blackout bolt gun

Academy macon has a Ruger 300 blackout gen 2 I looked at it today— $569

If you go Ruger get the gen 2, The gen 1 has a lot of feeding problem

Aside from a academy, I couldn't find one anywhere locally. A cheap transfer now is $50 and shipping is usually $40. Almost makes online buying in general a wash.

Try EuroOptics or Rogers Sporting, they both have free shiping. I found Euro is the cheapest, Just ordered a 6.5 PRC and shipping was 5 days to my FFl and thats with 2 hurricanes

I'm going to keep this thread going with another question.

I'm 90% sure I want the ruger american ranch, is the Howa mini worth the extra $$? Is it a better gun?

Like previously stated this will be a 90% range plinking toy and 10% whitetail hunting rifle.

Brownells was offering the Howa Mini barreled action for a while at a deal- I saw quite a few posts about folks buying one & throwing them in a Stockys stock or something similar.

The Ruger Americans are just an easy button, especially the Gen II variants.

All the ones I/we have & had shoot well.

Forgot to post mine here.

Got it set up with a scope I had laying around. Definitely overkill being a 4.5-30x50 XRS II. But should give me plenty of elevation to work with for now.

Got some reloading supplies to try out. Going to load up several test loads to see how they work out.

Will report back Saturday with results.


Also, I caved and ordered an MDT field chassis and AICS mag.

Did you adjust your trigger? Mine was pretty stiff out of the box and didn't improve much on adjustment.
