only one under $10 a box at wallyworld ..... and I will shoot steel case fmj in my G17 at 169$ per thousand

9 is always cheaper but you can get a box of 100 at wallyworld for 29 bucks or so. I buy 40 all the time and you can get it online for 14-15 bucks a box of 50.

Load your own, I can load .40s&w fmj or plated for about $8.00 a box, depending on if I buy my bullets by the 100. If I get them 500 or 1000 I can get it down even more. .380 I can get down around $5.00 box.

Is that reusing your own brass?

Get a Glock 23. Buy a lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel and mag for $125. Problem solved. I think .40 is reasonable enough to practice with ($15/bx at Walmart) a couple of boxes at a time, but if you just want to go relieve some stress OFTEN, 9mm is the way to go.
