You put it in after the items are in the cart. There's a place in the "cart" page to enter a promo code on the right side of the screen.

only thing I didn't get it on was a t-shirt with an American flag/5.11 logo .....but it was only $6 so I ordered it anyway. I got the discount off some button down shirts and other tshirts from the web specials clearance section
