1972 I was 13 years old in my 2nd year in this pic from Riverside Military Academy, I turned 14 in December. I absolutely hated it when I was there but I damn sure learned a lot and had to grow up quick. I stayed in trouble the whole two years I was there for minor stuff but I actually placed 2nd in the best drilled cadet competition out of about 360-370 cadets and earned my Sharpshooter’s Badge at the range. I’m still very proud of those two achievements and very glad now I got shipped off there. It was an experience like no other for a school, especially living there full time away from home. Now I wouldn’t trade that time in my life for a stinkin’ public school for anything. Any of y’all get sent off to a military school?
