My Dad has been gone 18 years, I still remember a couple of the last things he said to me like it was yesterday. We were visiting him in the hospital because we knew what was coming.
I hope I can be at least half the dad he was to me and my 8 siblings.
Dad just turned 87 and found out 3 months ago he has stage 4 cancer--drive 2hrs every 3 weeks to take him to chemo and spend 2 or 3 days with him--we used to fish-hunt- together back in the days--navy and army vet--think of him every day----Happy fathers day to all---------------------thanks ODT
My dad came to this country in 59' from a little island in the Caribbean when the SHTF there. He didn't have much, just hopes, dreams and ambition for a better life. He worked hard everyday and taught me a few lessons about work ethic. Even after he had an accident which broke his legs, crushed his heels and several discs in his back, he was back to work as soon as he could. He was a great father, provider. He unexpectedly passed away at the young age of 52 when cancer took over his body. He's sorely missed.
