$ 750 Million Lotto $

It could be 100k or 100million; i still would play if I thought i would win (which is why i dont)

Why does the pot being larger attract more people? By this logic alone your chances decrease the more people who play

There is so much wrong with this statement. :lol: Had your coffee yet? ;)
But for fun.... Buying a lottery ticket is gambling. It is a 'bet' that your pay off has better chance than your risk. The odds of winning MM is 259 million to one. (Just for simplification, just ignore taxes for the moment). If a ticket cost $1 (like it used to), anytime the pot is greater than $259m it's a "better than even money bet." Since it now costs $2, you have to of course double that and the jackpot needs to be greater than $519m for it to be a "better than even money bet." There are no "better than even money" bets in Vegas. (Again this ignores taxes but also lower than jackpot payouts)
On your second point, the amount of people playing has exactly ZERO chance of affecting your numbers coming up. Granted, it does increase the chance of a shared jackpot.
Now, go get that coffee! :ranger:
