8mm Mauser Reloader

Anyone out there have good experience at reloading 8mm Mauser? I have a good sporterized Yugo M48 that can take full power loads. I have a few empty shells and already have in mind what bullets I'd like to use. Let's see if we can work something out!

I have loaded some 150gr. Spitzer SP over IMR powder (not near my log book) and they were full power and they were accurate.

I also load cast 175gr. GC Lee RN bullet over Green Dot, Unique and IMR-3031 (not all at the same time though)

Awesome! Well, I'd like to try full power loads with Hornady 170 grain SSTs. Those rounds look pretty good and I'm a big fan of SSTs.

I'm pretty much stating clearly that I need someone that I'll pay to reload for me lol

Nobody can legally accept payment for reloading -- I do believe it is a felony --
However he can let you use his tooling and instruct you to do it --

Thanks for the info. Sadly I don't have the space for reloading tools myself.

Not much commercial ammo available for that caliber.

Take up reloading or find an online custom ammo loader are your options.

Easy to see why Mausers were changed from 8mm to 30-06 back in the day.

Theres only one commercial choice I really like, but while it is powerful the bullets are in the 196 grains. A bit heavy for deer. Hence why I wanted to go with 170 SSTS

If you can find a mauser forum, there may be some info on making some "mexican match" loads with those bullets. Minimal loading equipment needed to do that, probably just a Lee-loader and an impact bullet puller.I do 30-06 like that for my Garand hunting loads.
