I don't like AR pistols, or AK style Dracos, period.
Now if they are SBR's with shoulder stocks, great. I love those kind.

A 9 mm AR carbine or SBR may be more pleasant to shoot than a .223 because of lower muzzle blast --- less chamber pressure exiting behind the bullet.
Although I don't think there is any less recoil. In fact, when I shot an M4 in 5.56 mm and compared it to a select-fire 9 mm AR platform machine gun, the 9 mm had more muzzle climb.
