**** PSA, and **** anyone that brings me PSA **** to work on.

Severely over-torqued barrel nut on a 20" PSA complete upper. Going to have to be cut off. None of the usual tricks worked. Kroil, heat, cold, shock, the world's largest breaker bar, etc. Now she'll get cut off and replaced.

I feel like it would be cheaper to just buy another upper?

I feel like you should have a price list where your prices are listed, with some asterisks about brand surcharges (i.e if you want me to work on your PSA/BCA upper/lower the prices are base + 50%).

I always felt that way changing certain brand motorcycle tires years ago.

I do have an added fee for doing some kinds of AR work on exceedingly filthy guns. If I have to clean the gun before I can work on it, that eats up my time, and someone's paying for it.

Multiple relief cuts in the barrel nut, right down to the threads. Kroil and heat. Still had to hammer it off.
 
LMT 14.3” piston barrel. Customer bought the complete upper used, with a P&W muzzle device already installed. Asked me to remove the muzzle device, and install a new one.

Customer also said the dude he bought the upper from stated it had previously had a different P&W muzzle device on it. So, before my customer got his hands on it, it had at least 2 different P&W muzzle devices installed on it.

I removed the current muzzle device, and found this.

Where the flat is machined into the barrel, the barrel wall thicknesss at the muzzle now measures .0715”.
