If the aluminum bedding surfaces in the stock are coated or painted over, strip that stuff off down to the bare metal. You’ll have better/more consistent contact, which can help your accuracy.
It’s not guaranteed to make a difference, but if some right it absolutely won’t hurt anything.
I recommend using a chemical stripper, and not trying to grind/scrape/sand it off. You remove too much aluminum, or in the wrong spot(s), and you could detrimentally affect your accuracy.
