Adenture Outdoors the Chik-Fil-A of gun stores?

It is a waste of time to go there right now. They have all these guns to show you, but nothing is in stock, and no you can't buy the ones on display. It is ridiculous that they have inventory not for sale. They are just an illusion of a gun store in my opinion.
Wait...... did I read this right? You cant buy whats on the rack? Really? Saved me a trip to A.O.

Sorry, only analogous thingbetween the two is that they are closed on Sundays. I am a Chick-Fil-A addict or I used to be until there portions seemed to have gotten smaller and lower quality. LOL. The service at Chik-Fil-A has always good to excellent. Why do I always really feel like eating Chik-Fil-A on Sundays? :(

I know, the only fault I can find with them closed on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!

I like AO because they carry a good selection of CZ pistols, and I just love CZs. The only other place I've found with a selection of CZs is Tucker Gun, and their prices are outrageous.

AO is probably the largest gs in the SE US. They got there with great prices and service. I'm sure they've had hard time maintaining inventory just like every gs in this great nation. They keep sample guns in the cabinet that are not for sale so that we as customers can at least get a look at them and special order if u choose. I'm sure the ecnomical thing to would b to just sell. Im proud to say ive been a customer for the last 30 years.

used bike project guns from them all the time there used section for next to nothing but their prices have gone crazy lately
I use to pick up an old beat up 22 from them for around 50 bucks now the same gun is 150

Their "special order process" killed it for me...
A bit coincidental there is a business in Smyrna that has been selling high demand items such as pmags, colts and sigs on gunbroker...

I have bought a few guns from them over the years but I did a special order in Dec and had to cancel it last week after I found out they are selling the gun I ordered on GB.
Killed it for me too.

I remember when the Ruger 1911 first came out and they had one in the display case. I was stoked and I knew I was going to buy it but I acted coy and asked to fondle it first. Guy proceeds to tell me how popular they are already and how great the gun is. After a minute or so of fondling it, I looked at the guy and said "I'll take it" with an ear-to-ear grin. "Oh, that's just a display, there is a 2 month wait for that gun but we can order it for you." Are you ******* me?

I felt like reaching over the counter and smacking the smirk off that jerk. What an idiot. A simple sign would've saved me the frustration. I hate that place but I still stop in when I'm around. :)

Tucker Gun prices are completely ridiculous. Born and raised in Tucker (live otp now) I wanted to trade local, but prices are retail +++. They've always carried a nice inventory of Rock River AR's, but prices now are beyond insane, IMO. As for AO, prices there are crazy too. Not really talking about guns, but hunting stuff is crazy.... I've never found a good deal.
