Did sig fix the p320 and is it still a good gun to have?

Like most things in the gun community (ammo shortages, the current Glock thing) this has been overblown and debunked. But still people will argue about it, the perception becomes reality (see many comments here). The gun is fine and has been since the drop fix was put in. I have no issues carrying one or using it in competition and I’ve put them through the wringer doing run and guns. I’ve had people come up to me as say those aren’t safe, then I hand it to them and say get it to fail. They wiggle it, pull the trigger down to the break point like the videos, wiggle some more, they can’t get it to go click without pulling the trigger past the normal break point. That goes for both that I own and they have very light triggers. But you know, perception is reality. I’ve actually seen and read more about glocks going off accidentally than anything, but those are perfectly fine.

Anyways, yeah I’m a bit bitter about it because now I have to change platforms because of the bans and bs around it all. If I didn’t feel it was safe, I absolutely wouldn’t use it or shoot it. I’m also a bit PO’d at sig for not supporting some sort of buyback or trade in on them for those of us that now have to get something else since most ranges banned them. I’m less inclined to buy anything from them after this.

The drop issue was a solid decade ago and just the first major issue. Get with the times. They keep finding ways to make the 320 platform a turd.

Yep it was ancient times. 320 still shoot better than most other platforms and people have been winning national matches with them for years now without issue. Now they are unsafe? Give me a break.

Well, shows you don't shoot matches. Or you're attempting to stack cards and you're simply not smart enough. Shooting matches is very different than duty use. No round in the chamber till ready and instructed by the RO. Once stage cleared, empty and show clear. No rounds in the chamber and no mags inserted until instructed and actively shooting said stage. Whether they shoot well or not is not the issue. Never has been.

Read my original post, never mentioned duty use one time. You know nothing about me or what I know or don’t know. So who’s stacking what? And yet, here you are personally attacking someone you don’t know at all about something that has no impact or benefit to you, for what purpose? I simply stated my displeasure with the misrepresentation of facts about the misfire issues, the knee jerk reactions so common in this community, AND my displeasure with Sig for not doing a buyback or swap. You are obviously someone (based on your comments, I don’t know you) that would simply be a waste of time and brain cells to have a logic conversation or debate about the topic. So I’ll be happy to step out and let you all attack each other and be ignorant.
