Adenture Outdoors the Chik-Fil-A of gun stores?

I used to live about 2 miles away. Would go in a lot. Bought quite a few guns over the last few years from there. Overall mostly postive experiences everytime. Granted I would go mid afternoon on a week day and knew what I wanted. Haven't been in a year or so since i moved to the other side of town though.

I have no problem with them being closed on Sunday. Their people can take a rest and go to church. But of course, AO makes so much profit during every other day they are open that they can afford to take Sunday off....probably a whole week. :)

Thanks ODT for the feedback about Adventure Outdoors. Sounds like AO is worth at least a look and if I am buying I should probably go during work hours- definitely not on the weekends. :D

I've been several times. I consider it the "internet gun showroom." It's great when I read "CZ is the most comfortable gun I've ever held" ... ok run to AO and pick one up. Or want to get the wife a .22 handgun, but not sure which one she'll like. Let her try them out then look for a good price on the internet.

Used to think of Best Buy the same way. They should have changed their slogan to "Best Buy - Amazon's showroom"

Couldn't find a Glock 34 locally. Waited in line 45 minutes and ended up "special ordering" one. Would not sell the display. Was told to expect 1-2 weeks for delivery. It's been 7 weeks and haven't heard from them. They don't answer the phone, they don't respond to emails. But they did expedite my check cashing in a timely fashion. Price competitive, customer service terrible both at time of sale and after sale.

Screw AO. That place turned to poop after the move IMO

You got that right

I've always bought my guns at alexanders in Blair'sville
Well before the panic when they had inventory
Fondle it. Flash the CCW follow the clerk to the front cash register. Pay
Enjoy
In and out in 10 minutes if you know what you want.

They have a wide variety of gun selection...But that place is a dam joke! You need to know exactly what you want. Customer service is non existent. Support your other local gun stores..I've had a very bad experience and will NEVER shop there.

Myself and YaDaddy are there weekly on Thursday night's recording our 2nd Amendment Podcast live in the store. It's a cool store, with a lot of guns and accessories. Jay Wallace (the owner) is a great guy who devotes a lot of time, money and energy into preserving and protecting our 2nd Amendment rights. And as a bonus, there's a smokin' hot brunette behind the gun counter. :)

The 1 in Marietta?
