Maybe this will clear it up.
Guy buys a phone from someone he does not know, but knows he is "bigger" than him.
Is scared to file charges because again "guy is bigger" than him
Is so smart he can bypass the lock but didn't.
Gets on ODT asking for advice but refuses to take any that's been given.
Outcome: small tech savey guy gets ****ed out of $350 and up's his post count by dragging everyone else into his mess. Big guy with phone that doesn't belong to him makes off with little dudes cash ......
End of Story
This is what I'm not understanding. I'm pretty sure that most of the things found by somebody, has been lost by somebody else. Bottom line, the guy knew that the phone was lost and not his to sell.
Did this iphone have a lego stuffed up it's docking port?
i saw a post on Facebook for a iPhone for sale by someone on my friend list. That would mean I know them? Yes I do. It turns out, he didn't have the phone, it was his "friend" that had the phone, whom I do not know. I have no idea who his friend is and my friend whom posted the ad, is claiming he didn't know that the phone was found/stolen so I really can't file charges against him and even if I did, he will just say he doesn't know and that he didn't know the phone that HIS FRIEND sold was found/stolen. So pretty much the guy that I know, is out of the picture of possible legal charges since he doesn't "know" anything.
keep in mind, the guy that sold me the phone is black guy and I do not know anything about him nor would beable to identify him. I called the number that was listed on the activation lock screen since the original owner put it there and that number happened to be his wife's number. So I been communitcating with his wife. I came on here hoping someone had a similar incident and could help since Cobb county is refusing to do anything because I pretty much have no info on the guy that sold me the phone except he was black? I am actually meeting up with the husband and wife tonight to return the phone.
