Take that gunsmith 3 different types of commercial ammo 20 rounds each. You keep some of the same purchased. Tell your gunsmith to shoot all 60 rounds, 20 of the same kind in the same magazine. Tell him when you get it back you are going to do the same test with the same ammo and same magazine.

Are you using milspec nail polish? Very important for reliability.

Well here’s what happened, he ran a while mag of Hornady through it, not sure if it’s ballistic tip or not and it shot fine. When I took it up there today, I took some of my ammo (Tulammo and surplus 7n6). It jammed every shot with him with my ammo and he ran 5 of his through it like it was nothing. At first he didn’t know what was wrong but then realized the gas block was set up for a 16 inch barrel and this one had been cut to 12.5”. So he’s gonna fix the gas block. He said he thought about it when building it but thought it was fine as it was a kit. His ammo ran fine in it which is weird but whatever, it’s getting fixed and that’s all that matters I guess
