Am I allowed to stick expired california tags to the FRONT of my car?

I can't find the code in GA but in Ohio got a ticket for "improper display". I think it just depends on how big a cock the LEO wants to swing when he pulls you over. There are laws to cite you for pretty much anything they want to charge you with.

That's right... We just wanna see how big we can swing :thumb: Find a thread where u don't have to troll and bust LEO's balls...d-nozzle!

OP, as long as the tag is out if service, you're fine in GA. If it's still coming back registered to you than your fine as well, so long as it's in the front of course.

So there is no "improper display" statute in GA ? So an officer would NEVER use a "catch all charge" (let's use disturbing the peace as an example) to write a citation? But yet I'm the nozzle? Open your eyes dude. You need to take your CHiPs glasses off.

EDIT - PS - I should expect this from someone who claims to be "Hunter of Man". Yeah, you have no EGO.

If you're just gonna pop **** off the top of your head have some ****ing clue of what you're talking about. Improper display is in regard to your actual tag on the rear of the vehicle. Not sure what kind of "catch all charge" one would use for that. Not sure where the "EGO" thing came in to play. I'm just not randomly popping in to people's threads to take a jab at LEO's (or any other profession), every chance I can.

Oh, and I would be John!

Can you provide me the GA code for improper display so I may read it? The OP asked if his actions were legal. I offered my opinion as to what to look out for. I also offered my experiences. On a side note you are saying that LEOs don't write what are called "nuisance" tickets, ones where the wording of the law and the intent of the law might not agree? If an officer wants to write a citation, you are pretty much leaving with a citation. You can't argue (hence, dick swinging contest) with an officer on the side of the road.

Certainly... check out OCGA 40-2-41. Mostly regards the affixing of the plate to its proper place, tag not to be concealed, so forth. As far as nuisance citations, I'm not sure if you're referring to "loud music" or something else, but there is state laws and then city ordinances that each have their place. As with any other law or code, they can and are mis-interpreted.

It's like this sir, like every profession, there are good and bad apples. I've had the pleasure of working with great cops, and the misfortune of working with some that are now in federal prison (where I'm happy to see them). For 10 years I've strived to fulfill my duties with integrity and impartiality. I just ask for a little slack on the constant LEO bashing all the time. I know there's dbag cops out there, everywhere. I just don't need to be reminded of it every time I log on to this site that I enjoy coming to.

OP...I sincerely apologize for sidetracking your thread, but hopefully the code section I listed will help you.
