Just purchased a DD Ambush 6.8 in real tree camo. What optic should go on it? I just want so feed back so I know what to look for or if anyone has the rifle or one like it what do you have on it?

Thanks

I have a Nikon P-Series or M-Series scope on mine I can't remember without looking but it's a 4-12x40 and it wasn't 500 dollars like the M series 308 scopes are. The trajectory is not all that different and works great. This is some shots using that scope on the 6.8 I built. I worked a post with this target. The inside bulls eye is shelf bought Hornady V-Max Match ammo. The four outside corners are 110 V-Max hand loads I put together. I feel that this scope is all you really need for accurate shots and they don't cost a fortune. I feel that Nikon puts out the best inexpensive scope on the market. Bar none! Now I did put a Bushnell AR optics on my 308 and it was only slightly over 200 and it's a great scope. It's built like a tank and just as accurate as the Nikon. It's a 4.5-18x40 and worth every dime and then some.

I had a DD Ambush 6.8....wish I still did really lol Had a Nikon Monarch on it when I got it and it was a GREAT scope. Love my Nikons, have them on 4 diff rifles.

I have a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x30 on a Colt CRE 18. Now that's a hell of a scope but it comes with a price tag. However the Nikons are so close in clarity it was a easy choice for my 6.8. I am telling you that the Nikon and the Bushnell AR optics are the same price but the Bushnell is quite a bit heavier. The turrets are larger and now that I have shot it I would buy either one again. However you just can't go wrong with a Nikon. I have used nothing but Nikon and Vortex aside from the Bushnell I put on the 308 and I am completely satisfied with both.
