Is 12 ozs heavy for a rail? I have the 7" on my SBR and I like the slim feel to it...

Another cheap ($550) 9mm carbine that takes Glock mags

For a 12-13" rail probably not. I did not see a weight measurement for the rail itself but UTG stuff is pretty cheap, and cheap usually means heavier. I typically dont't like rails longer than mid length - 9". If yours is 7" and 12oz, i'd say that is on the heavy side.
Nope, the UTG pro stuff is better than the standard UTG stuff, my 7" rail is 8ozs.
So who's gonna be the first to jump on this?

I'd buy one if I still owned a Glock. Actually it may be a good excuse to buy another Glock...
Supposedly Mag Tactical Systems makes it, but there is nothing on their website - maybe too new.

Hmm...good question. The value you'll get back for the Sub2K is going to drop by a hundred bucks or so now that the 2nd gen is supposedly going to be shipping soon. Personally, I like the portability of the Sub2K. It is one of the best backpack guns out there in my opinion.
I'm just glad to see someone else get into the market to exert some downward pressure on pricing.
Frankly, I believe these carbines should be in the $450 range. Maybe I'm dreaming, but they are all going to have to cut prices to remain competitive or go out of business.

Oh... sure now they build a good looking 9mm carbine that takes mags I already have and it's affordable. It appears they know I spent too much on a PSA AR9 just before Christmas.
