ANOTHER LIGHTWEIGHT SAVAGE! ODD LOOKING SETUP TO ME!

The Savage 110 was designed as a means of cutting corners while still producing an accurate rifle. I find it interesting that at least one maker of a rifle for that new lead zeppelin, the 7mm Backcountry, is bragging on at least one such feature.

Yeah, I think they’ve gotten away from the 10/110 nomenclature and they’re now all 110s. I have a Hog Hunter 308 marked 110.
Is it actually a short action or is it a long action with a bolt buffer and a mag block to make up for the extra length? I thought Savage stopped making any actual short actions in the 10/110 line. This is the same thing Tikka does. They only make one length action and just put a spacer in the mag well and on the bolt to accommodate short action calibers.

U have a few rifle but my GoTo stuff is Savage. They perform just as well as anything else to own.
The animals in the woods don’t know what brand rifle you were carrying

It's two different length actions. They have made some with bolt stops instead but that's not what they're currently doing with their 110s.

Savage is perfectly adequate for most deer killing, but they will develop cycling and feeding problems under hard use. It's a machine assembled from boxes of parts. If one piece doesn't fit close enough, they just grab another. When those parts wear, they too often stop working well together. Then you need a Smith who knows how to machine it to spec, which is what is done with a better rifle to begin with.

It is what it is, and that's ok.

True! Most white boys never shoot enough to wear anything out, not even their dicks!
But they definitely run their mouth enough to wear out their jaw bones! Just saying!

It’s actually short action.

The Axis rifles on the other hand are all “long” action.
