Another piece of **** Chevrolet just got the report last night! This is who we should be protesting against! Ford Chevy Dodge Toyota

Man i hate to hear this. Ive been through a lemon. Good luck with the lemon law. Its set up in the dealer/ manufacturers best interest. I gave up. My uncle had a brand new Jeep Rubicon that was a lemon. He gave up. I talked to a lady at the dealer, and she only knew of one successful lemon law challenge. I hope you win, just be prepared for a long battle. I keep renewing my warranty, and im still ahead. Its way cheaper. These damn electronics will break. The warranty is only good if they honor it though. Even with Fords premier warranty, it can be a waiting game on “approval”. My next truck will be old like me.
I really hope yall can get some relief. Its terrible on the regular guy just trying to live.

If the Lemon Law doesn't work, tell the dealer that you'll pull the truck to a prominent , high visibility location and put a sign on it letting everyone who reads it know from where it was purchased, it's a lemon and they won't fix it. It would be cheaper for them to simply replace it on their dime.

Amen to that!!

I'd get an older truck and put the money into it instead. These new vehicles with miles of plastic and eco- friendly electronics are made to be recycled not last a few hundred thousand miles
Friend of mine and a member here has a Duramax that looks about 10-15 years old . He has more mechanical skills than me and he said it was "the last safe Duramax year". I assumed it must be a pre DEF engine.
Not long before getting that one he was looking for a 96 and older F150. When I asked why he said 96 was the last year for the good ones. Makes sense to me . That was the last year of the square body trucks as well as the old style 5.0 and the 300 inline 6.

That 300 inline 6 is a tank. I had a 93 f150 a few years ago and it was at 380k and still running strong. The truck was falling apart around it lol. But that engine!

Older daughter had a 94 XL short bed reg cab in forest green that started out life as a DNR truck . Rubber coated floors, roll up windows and real 4WD with the 4WD shifter in the floor. Shoulda kept that truck for ME.

Yea, I think that's what will happen with my Cummins. I've said a long time now. One day they'll be a stock pile of those engines that outlasted the truck

Yep. That's how my F250 is. Except it's an XLT with a 460. I special ordered that truck new

That’s discouraging that US automakers can’t get their act together. I switched years ago to Toyota for a small truck. I still have my 1998 Tacoma 4x4 4 cylinder which lasted 548,000 miles before needing major engine work. In 2018 I bought a new Honda Ridgeline, loaded Black Edition. Great handling light truck. In 2022, at about 109,000 my torque converted lockout clutch went out requiring a torque converter replacement. Since it was out of warranty the dealer said the repair of nearly $6k was on me. I wrote Honda explaining how dissatisfied I was and how I never experienced this kind of major failure with Toyota and they agreed to pay half. I did tell them that the problem was somewhat a known issue and something they must have known about because the new part had a different part number indicating a change. Well this year, I received a notice from Honda that says they are providing retroactive warranty coverage for a faulty torque converter lock out clutch for the years covering my truck. They are are now offering to refund me the half I paid, almost $3,000, to replace the faulty torque converter back in 2022. Yes failure shouldn’t happen. However, sometimes things happen. How a company handles the quality problems goes a long way toward gaining customers loyalty. This is why I still avoid GM, Ford and Dodge. They have a bad track record for quality and customer support. The only US brand I’ve considered is Tesla but it just won’t work for me until they make a pick up truck that’s not retarded looking and outrageously expensive.
