I heard the new Nissan trucks are supposed to better than anything else sold today

nissans have always felt old and outdated and it turns out for once that was a smart choice. they're built like older trucks and feel like older trucks. frontier is the only midsize truck you can get with a naturally aspirated v6 and is cheaper than all the other competitors because it has less bells and whistles

Looked at all the forums on all the midsize trucks I was researching. Test drove the Ranger, Colorado and Canyon. The 24 Tacomas were not out at the time. Ended up buying a 2023 new Frontier pro4x. Last of the six cylinders. So far 24000 miles and no problems or warranty work.
Been reading the next gen Frontier will be a four cylinder turbo or maybe all electric. If I decide to get something else it will probably be a 2023 Tacoma Pro.

Everyone should have known the baby Duramax would be horrible with all the emissions stuff. Buying a diesel now, they’re a good chance it’ll be in and out of shop. They’re made to pull, constantly, cruising them just isn’t in the books. Just picked up my new 25 Silverado yesterday, wouldn’t have anything else👍🏻💯

There's a 2015 Camry and an 09 Camry in my Mom's driveway. She's had around six Camrys since 95. I wound up with two of them. First was a 94 LE and the second was an 04 LE. Both had well over 200K showing when I got them. I got over a 100K more out of both.
Mom wanted another Camry so bad that we bought the 09 from one of her friends with 136K showing which is damn good for an 09. So I wound up with the 19 Corolla my stepfather bought before he died in 2020. Yeah she hated that Corolla and wanted another Camry THAT bad. In case you were wondering the 15 Camry is my son's car now and it definitely shows.
Anyway this entire thread reminds me of how I have a tec cutoff point as far as new(er) cars. Some **** I just don't want in a vehicle as in push button start and that engine cutout bull**** when you're not moving. I'm also out on the huge touch screens. The Corolla has one but it's not nearly as big as what they have now and it only runs the audio and back up camera. So hopefully even if the touch screen goes bad it won't disable the rest of the car. So yeah I guess 2019 is as new of a vehicle as I'll ever own/want.
If you had a chance, I guess it would be Toyota. Ours is a 2000 Camry with over 360k miles and counting

One of my oldest friends HAD a 17 or 18ish Frontier extended cab, 5 speed manual with roll up windows and he loved it. Damn truck looked just like an OReilly delivery truck. I told him I wanted to buy it when he decided to "Change Trucks" again. I ain't a Nissan fan even though I have a 91 Hard body 4WD. But that truck was so basic I really liked it. And then some Democrat bitch...in a damn Altima hit him in Macon and totalled it out.
I don't think you can even get a manual transmission Frontier anymore. That's the only way I would feel safe owning a newer Nissan.

Only single truck i would buy brand new at this point is the new nissan frontiers, even the new tacomas are destroying their trans on top of other issues. I have an older tacoma with the old 4.0 and im never letting this **** go.
The parent company of Nissan also owns Jatco transmissions. Guess what transmissions are in all Nissans?

Jatco transmissions are junk. Just for example the CVT transmission in a Nissan Rogue WILL FAIL right at 200k
