Just kidding about the tent, I think we all know that a tarp is FAR better than a tent in a freezing rain, and a fire under that tarp is why its better than a tent
Bring you own kit but if you don't have a tarp of some sort u should. Last time I realized that we all had similar stuff but a survival kit should have no less than the things the meet the rule of 3s
the rule of 3s is
3 minutes without air
3 hours of exposure
3 days without water
3 weeks without food
air is air but exposure means shelter/fire, those (next to security) are the biggest threats to life.
I prefer a stainless steel water bottle so I can boil it in my canteen.
For shelter I do a machete, cordage and a tarp

dry wood is always good too. I'm down for May 25th. put it on my calendar. I look forward to it.

Ok, it's open invite and we will meet at the same place as last time. There is a convenient store/gas station/dollar store on the corner of Hwy 278 & hwy 6/120 in Dallas. I will prob get there a little before 11am and whoever is there by noon can follow me to "the spot"
