I have lots of bad experiences with Samsung and LG. Only good experiences with GE. All have been top loaders. 3 washers in 6 years and yes my wife overloads the crap out of them, hence the early destruction of the washers. GE seems to be holding up the best so far.

If you want a washing machine because it washes clothes for lots of years, get a Speed Queen.

If you want a washing machine to text you because you’re lonely and want to feel needed, buy a Samsung every other year.

Only advise I’ll give is go top load. If you can find an older model (1990-2000) do it. If they make TVs stay away.

Find commercial washers used in laundromats. Easy to repair. When it’s your turn to wash you can be out of quarters

We bought a front loader Bosch set in 2007.. they have never been touched for repairs and still wash cloths fine.
