Got another visitor in the yard but this time digging up next to the house. I’ve set two traps and sort of set up a funnel to the area where they dug. What’s the tricks (if any) to capturing the little terminator?

Is the trap at the opening of the burrow?
I don’t suppose I’ve had much luck trapping them, but I have hit a couple with 7.62x54r tracers. Didn’t see any more after that
My neighbor trapped one but he had to use a larger trap….it wouldn’t crawl into the smaller ones

I may have to stay up late and wait for the rascal to show up again.
No I get them when they are out foraging, if you can find where they are eating and figure out which direction they are coming from eventually they’ll walk right in.
My FIL has had good luck too with the big funnels outside of the burrows
Gotcha. The flower bed next to the house and the traps is where they are digging so I’m in the right spot. Just need to put some boards down. Thanks
