Any short distance runners here?

In the six year association with the Marine Corps, one gets used to the daily three mile run. When I got out, I thought it would be good to continue that practice, which did not always occur. In fact, in the 49 years my discharge, I owe the road 53,655 miles!

When you're young you should be in good shape. Like when you were a marine. If I ran 100 yards today I'd keel over.

But kids today.

Yep, Had to ice my knees the LAST time I ran a PT test in Dalton GA for the Dalton PD. Hurt for a week. Kinda glad I never got that job. I couldn't get and didn't have a copy of my form 4 DD214 at the time so they turned me down. Oh well I am enjoying retirement now and that's just water under a bridge.

I occasionally think about it
