Anybody around here chop Glock 17 grip down to a G26 grip?

I'm told the lock up is different on a 17

The lock up is different--lonewolf sells an extended barrel for the 19/26 sized guns--the extended barrel is the length of a 17's barrel.

While I feel the balance is very nice on a "chopped" 17 converted to a 19 grip, a 17 with the grip cut down to a 26 is not nearly as popular for a reason.
It's your gun to do with what you want but I would be surprised if you would be happy with it after it was done.

Good point- if I did do the G26 grip length it would be cut for the 12-rnd mag in order to have the grip extension for the pinky.
