Anyone chrome plate?

I have an 80s zippo lighter that id like to get restored. Could send it to zippo but they have a backlog of over 6 months.

Anyone here know of anyone that could chrome plate a zippo lighter? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, don’t know anyone but If your problem is the removable lighting mechanism, I read the standard-size Zippo’s guts are fairly interchangeable, the guts out of a $10 Zippo from WalMart fits my old Harley Zippo.

Great suggestion. Went down to Walmart and was able to get it going again. Now just need someone who can do chrome plating. Thanks!

Bet you could hit that with some 00 steel wool, some Flitz and a buffing wheel. You could then color fill the text/logo.
