And one thing I know for a fact. When tolerance stacking becomes an issue in in vehicle engine It's time for a rebuild or buy new engine, too many parts have worn to the point where they no longer function together and end up in catastrophic failure. Tolerance stacking is to much wear on multiple items and those items need to be replaced our machined and the block modified to accept the new machined parts.

Or the engine was built incorrectly and the tolerances weren't correctly built into the engine from the start and that tolerance stacking will lead to catastrophic failure as well. In the case of an AR-15 this kind of Tolerance stacking would be due to incorrect. Milled parts.

oh hell you went and done it now. That hole is for the wilson combat accuraizer plug, not an accu wedge. So much for your warranty.

In the mid 90s the accu wedge was all the rage and everyone was claiming it did all this stuff it didn't really do. Colt installed them in the 6700 from the factory for a short time as the 6700 was the "Competition HBAR". The discontinued doing so shortly after though once everyone realized it didn't do any of the stuff they claimed it did, and what it did do was require you to have tools on you to takedown your rilfe.

It was 1995, word didn't travel as fast as it does today.

The simple fact that Colt quit installing them tells you everything you need to know.

Wilson Combat does it now because...well let's be honest, the type of people who would be drawn to a "Wilson Combat" lower are the same type of people who get pissed if the upper and lower don't line up perfectly, or if the anodizing isn't a perfect match.

Basically, they are snake oil. If you care about rattle, I guess it might be something you would consider, but I will never own a rifle with one it it. When I find them, they go in the trash. I have zero interest in using a punch to takedown my rifle.

That's why AK is superior. Re-drill and install larger pin comrade!

And BTW 9mm is better than .45acp prove me wrong....

I don't need a punch to take the rifle down. Just squeeze the upper and lower together with one hand and take the pin out with the other. You have to think out of the box on some things

I real don't care enough to go to battle with someone about what they use or how they chose to build their rifles. It doesn't reflect confidence it wreaks of arrogance, narcissism and pride. Prove me wrong.....

wasn't derogatory, was just picking on you and some manufacturers claims regarding what will and will not void a warranty.

I have no issue if someone wants to use something to make the upper and lower fit more solid. It's your gun, do with it what you want. I was simply stating why I have no use for it.

Who am I kidding, I don't even take my stuff out of the box anymore, much less take it down or shoot it.
