The first time I saw one of these in a rifle I thought someones ear plug had fallen in there and gotten closed up in it.
I didn’t edit anything out, and I described the scenario quite thoroughly.
If you are suggesting that I am editing my posts to suit the argument, you are mistaken.
No, it is not false.
Without the piece of silicone, the rifle functioned properly.
Add the piece of silicone and the rifle ceased to function properly.
Remove the piece of silicone and the rifle once again functioned properly.
They do help accurize. Tested from a bench and they certainly help sloppy rifles.
That gun was ****ed from the start. That rubber didn't break it and YOU didn't fix it.

I used to take your armorer advice for the law, but the thing is you're so "matter-of-factly"(pretentious) about everything it's hard not to dismiss it.
This reminds me of that thread about crushing magazines because they allegedly caused the gun to go 1/2moa off...

There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. I don't claim to know everything. However, I do know a 2.00 piece of silicone has enough elasticity not to conform steel and forged alloy bending it to it's will.
