Anyone have a KAC SR-15?

Any one have a Knight’s Armament SR-15? Been thinking about trying to trade for one. How do you like it?

Pros? Cons? Over priced? Value?

havent owned one personally but shot a friends and to me they are super nice rifle but still WAAYY over priced. for what your able to get into now with DD, LWRC, SOL, and more, i see zero reason to spend that kind of money on an AR platform

DD doesn't come with sights, the trigger sucks ass, no ambi safety/controls, and often feels rough overall, in my experience.

DD runs around....1400? Add the cost of a good trigger, sights, and still you're lacking ambi controls - but you're just about at the price of a KAC.

If you want a top of the line, as good at it gets rifle that's 100% proven - IMO that's KAC. Not to mention, it feels noticeably better than DD just in general handling and smoothness.

Edited to add: KAC is what you buy when you want the best and don't want to have to add or change much of anything after you buy it. With DD, you can't even shoot it until you add sights - and a lot of other companies around that same price range come with a lot of mil-spec parts that an AR enthusiast will really want to upgrade (trigger, controls, charging handle, etc.)

Mr.Glock if anyone replies the this thread and uses the term “for that kind of money” automatically disregard the post.

Those who want and have KAC understand what you will be getting, and it’s not about “that kind of money” it’s about the quality, the function, the feature set.

From what I have seen, price point is not even a consideration for those who are into KAC, and it has nothing to do with income.

The same goes with the Noveske, PWS, Triarc etc. crowd

For the record, I've got some DD that's tricked out, and it's great. But it costs money to get it there. KAC money.

One of the great things about the AR world is there's something at literally every price point, whether it's $300 or $3000.

I’m gonna work my way on trading my SCAR for a nice little KAC package.

My 11.5" KAC feels like shooting a 14" Midlength rifle .... love it.

But to be clear, I don't think of it as an AR, really, at all. From the gas system to the bolt and barrel extension you can't repair it with regular mil spec AR parts or many tools so I really look at it more like people look at an AR shaped proprietary gun than an AR.

I own a SR-25 and had to sell my SR-15 plus some cash on top to acquire the SR-25. Phenomenal is beyond an understatement. KAC is where it's at. I'd say a second close is Noveske for less money. The only other exception would be a HK416 Conversion from Jayson at IGF. These rifles are at the top of the food chain. Just my 2 cents.
