AR not chambering next round

I was given that Pro mag because the tip hung on that from lip and would even start to feed. I knew I could get it to feed so I didn't turn it down. All my other mags are Magpul or rebuilt GI mags. If someone gives me a rifle that doesn't work I don't turn it down. I take it fix it and put it to good use. I am not so stuck up I won't take a bad product, make it good and use the hell out of it. But thanks for that brilliant insight and vast knowledge. I have never heard of such wisdom!

You’re welcome. I’m always happy to educate the ignorant.

1. This may sound stupid but did you adjust the gas block to let all the gas through the system?
2. Was the upper new or pre-owned. If it was indeed 2nd hand the adj. gas block could be clogged up with carbon restricting the flow.

The fact that it has an adjustable gas block makes me think it's not a factory built upper. Did the gun ever function at all before this problem cropped up or did you buy it in this condition? I am willing to bet that if you put a good gas block ( not the cheapest you can find ) it will probably solve your problem. Buy one from BCM, Aero Precision, DD and those tier manufacturers not eBay. I don't know how many guns I have repaired because the gas block fit was atrocious.

Shooting that Tula ammo will clog a adj. gas block up quick.
On gas blocks I like BCM. They are purposely undersized from them so you have to heat them to install them. A hear gun or sticking it in the oven will work also.

FWIW, just threw the buffer on a scale and it's an H2 buffer. Thinking that might be where my issues are coming from. 10.3" barrel and the can doesn't really produce much if any backpressure being flow through. Gonna snag a carbine buffer and see if that clears things up.

Not an adjustable gas block. OP is running an adjustable BCG.

I don’t think he ever mentioned an adjustable gas block.

A full gas system should cycle a H2 buffer. I think I have a standard buffer. If I can find it I will mail it to you on my dime Friday so you don't have to spend money on it. I don't ever use standard carbine buffers.
