hey guys, need some ideas/help. dont know much about AR pistols, getting parts to build one. I want it in 7.5" but have heard that they have problems. but think that a 10.5" is going to be to long. anybody got pics of there ar pistols would love to see the up next to a regular AR. so i can get an idea of what size i would prefer. thanks ODT.

Give me a few days to get home and I will post a picture of a couple of my ar's. One with a 16 in upper and the other has a 7.5 upper.

I built my 7.5" AR pistol in Jan and I've had zero problems. It shoots like a dream and is dead-accurate at 100 yds (the longest I've attempted). I have four 80% lowers on order to build more.

Del-Ton Stripped Lower
DPMS LPK
Rainier Arms 7.5" UltraMatch .223 Wylde Barrel (polished)
BCM Stripped Upper
Troy Industries 7.6 TRX BattleRail
BCM BCG w/ Extractor Spring Uprade
Phase 5 Buffer Tube/Spring/Buffer
Noveske KX3

Here's mine.

All YHM except for some add-ons. Magpul, Phase 5, Hogue, Strike Ind.

10.5" barrel for a total of 13" when you add the flash hider. It's 28" long total end to end. Fits very nicely in my Sneaky bag for daily travel. Shoots awesome and can be shouldered almost as easily as using a stock.

Here's the plinker my 11 year old son and I put together... be fore warned, putting one together can get pricey very quickly! :becky:

It's an odd ball length due to some barrell work I had done to clean up from a previous install. The barrell measures out at 9 1/4" with 1:7 twist and is chambered in 5.56. It's mounted up to a Vltor VIS-1 upper and finished off with an AFG2, Eotech 512, MBUIS and Noveske KX-3 muzzle device.

The lower is as a DTI with a PSA parts kit, ATI grip, Phase 5 buffer tube, BAD lever and Mako mag well grip. I'm running a Spikes ST-T1 buffer with a custom length spring. Had some issues with it short stroking initially, but got them worked out... this thing is an absolute blast to shoot!!! (pun intended:becky:)

It's very accurate at 50 yards which is what I sighted the Eotech in at as seen below. One more warning, it will definitely get some attention at the range... they're loud and tend to breath a little fire! :flame:

Finally got a chance to do a good size comparison pic with one of my full length rifles, plus added a new member to the family. :becky:

From top to bottom:
16" RRA Elite Operator II
9 1/4" custom Vltor/DTI
7.5" custom Seekins/RedX
