I know plenty of duck hunters that run stoegers with minimal issues compared to much more expensive choices.

Yeah they give the M2s a solid run for the money and most aftermarket parts companies make just as many products for them as the more expensive boom sticks

I have a Saiga 12 that i've had for a few years that shoots everything from field loads to 3 inch mags without any problems.I have done some work on it,moved the trigger group,added a 4 position gas port,did some polishing on the bolt etc.Shoots 3 inch groups at 100 yards with Rem.3 inch slugs and red dot.(yes i do have wittnesses.)

i shoot a rock island VR80. love it but there's downsides vs my traditional semi autos.

-theres a break-in periord before it wil reliably shoot light loads/low recoil.
-aftermarket mags are hit or miss
-cheap slugs lead up the barrel +other piston related parts after about 30rds

still the most fun to shoot and is accurate at 100yds. plus 9 quick rounds of 00Buck is tuff to beat for home defense
