AR500 Body Armor Deals

FYI, I didn't cherry pick them. I just grabbed the first two that wasn't uploaded by the dealer themselves and those two channels are pretty well known for fair reviews of items.

The evidence is there that the coatings work, if you want to be stubborn about the facts that's up to you. But the evidence is out there that the coatings work.
There’s also evidence on YouTube that Bigfoot banged the Lochness monster if you choose to believe it. What I provided was first hand experience.

I prefer to see with my own eyes. I don't know you or the situation you had your experience or how long ago it was or the actual product that it happened to. Too many variables on first hand accounts with no evidence to back it up other than some guy on an online forum said it was so. So you can see my hesitation on just taking your word on it.

Also, pretty sure if any Bigfoot/Lochness sex video would be found, its likely posted on Pornhub instead of Youtube.

Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of the polymer?? plates that are out or their claims of quality. My **** is HEAVY. Leaning ceramic upgrade but would like to at least know about these new ones.

AR500 plates are not officially NIJ rated and certified. None of the offerings from AR500 are. That's really all there needs to be said on the matter. Not sure why anyone is still trying to die on the AR500 hill. If you value a few hundred bucks over life and health then go right ahead and do it. But don't try to normalize it to others. No outfit in any developed nations military uses steel armor nor does any major police force with anything resembling a budget.

I have personally known people who grabbed outdated SAPI plates from the gulf war before they would even consider steel and they actually work in a high risk environment with rifle threats.

Even "expired" ceramic plates that were stored in good conditions still provide more protection than steel does. The only thing that suffers is their multi-hit rating. You lose maybe 1-3 extra hits out of 10 versus if they were new. If you get shot 7 times in a row; the AR500 isn't going to help you out of that situation either. If you catch a full auto-burst from an intermediate rifle cartridge assuming standard load M855 (or m855a1) , 7N22 5.45, or hotter surplus 7.62x39 ball; at close range it's unlikely you will be shot in only your plate carrier so you're screwed either way and have most likely been outmaneuvered.

I honestly think people who suggest steel as a viable option have literally never run or trained in them for any extended period of time resembling actual mixed unit tactics or move and shoots. The difference between a 14lb front and back plate and a 7lb is immense and plays a huge role in how fast you can position and maneuver in the context of a gun fight. Even a physically fit, strong, and young man who could bench 300lbs easily would never argue in favor of steel if they took either sets for a day of maneuvers.

The only people I ever see argue for steels are people who are alien to the concept of actual infantry work, long range patrols, and CQB skill. They're also the same people who don't know what an entrenchment tool is and don't think they will have to dig holes to hide in if they stay at any one location for longer than an hour. It's the same people who think if SHTF that they'll drive around in their tacomas as mobile bases and that they'll never have to practice any type of fieldcraft because they got that new $400 truck bed organizer that will store all their goodies for them to survive till the end of time. Or maybe these people think they'll be just fine digging out trenches and foxholes and chopping trees down while they're wearing the steel plates. Maybe they think they'll do all these activities without the carrier on at all. These same people also don't possess thermal blankets or any IR resistant clothing. Because apparently if SHTF it will suddenly stop being 2022 with the age of drones, thermal tracking, and long range scanners.

If that isn't compelling enough against the case for steel plates; I don't know what is.

It's like harley riders when they wear their fashion half helmets versus a full face helmet. Go ahead and wear no helmet for all I care. But don't preach to others that the half helmet from walmart or the dusty shelf of your harley davidson dealer is going to offer the same protection as a snell\ece rated shoei or arai helmet. The only thing they share is that they are both called "helmets" That's all. One looks the part. The other actually performs the part. But someone can own a Harley Davidson half helmet and say they have a "helmet" .

Same thing here

Not sure why you feel the need to label everyone with steel plates as commando wannabe's. I have never stated the extent of the use of the steel plates that I bought, its for home defense only for your information, so no I'm not some armchair commando thinking about any of what you stated in your post.

And I do ride a motorcycle and have always used a full face helmet, even in the state of Florida where it was never required to wear one I always rode with proper gear & shoes unlike the majority of idiots with no helmets & wearing sandals.
