Word to anyone with a similar build! The KNS included roll pin is too short to adequately secure to both ends of the hole in the bolt carrier, you’ll want an Ace hardware trip planned into your install!

Install went super smoothly, used a rounded machining bit to take the head off of one side of the rivet, used a 3/32 punch to push that sucker out. That was easy-as could be. I don’t have a disassembly base like you see on most of the YouTube how-too’s, so I drilled A 5/32 hole into a 4 x 4, and hammered onto that!

I have it adjusted to the same length as the original piston and plan to film with high speed to set correct bolt throw while minimizing the gas.

Nice note.

I am here to say all of the PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED!

KNS piston setting; you wouldn’t believe it, but I dialed the thing all the way open, and it cycles perfectly! It’s like I turned the recoil off. The trigger slap is gone, and dear God, it's my favorite gun to shoot now!

Now the only issue is it’s a little gassy on the fore-end, but that’s no problem for me!

And 5.11 warranted the gloves :)

As for accuracy, the optical mount was the issue. Through irons my aim marked the paper true, even stacking some rounds @50, that may be partially due to the removal of the faux suppressor shroud
