So I had my first outing with my dream AK, and man oh man was I disappointed!
Issues I experienced
OVER GASSED, like your Uncle on Easter after 6 deviled eggs
TRIGGER SLAP, sucker slapped me!
ACCURACY, it’s not (3inch groups @50 yards)





And I believe the over gassing is primarily an issue with the barrel length.

The trigger slap, I’m guessing, has something to do with it being over gassed, and running the bolt too aggressively.

The accuracy could be attributed to using a Side rail mount, with no other mounting or attachment to the rifle

What advice does the ODT have for me? This gun will always be more of a trophy in my collection, so I’m not expecting it to be flawless, but it does need to be better!

I’m sure KNS does a piston for this gun. That would alleviate the overgas and maybe trigger slap issues. I don’t think these guns are known for their accuracy…

Trigger slap is generally not related to whether it is over gassed or not. One of my 9mm AKs has bad trigger slap but I attribute that to the trigger group. Wish there were still Tapco trigger groups being sold.
