Asked to leave WAL-Mart Tonight because of CC Rig Showing...

Keep this in mind when you carry, if you OC...

Georgia is not a traditional open carry state. However, opencarry IS legal with a Georgia Permit. It is also worthy for note that you MAY open carry a firearm without a permit in a motor vehicle.

I open carried into Walmart once. After about 10 min. I was aproached by night security. He was pretty cool about it but an employee said I had to leave cause store policy. Security said no, its up to his discretion or the manager. I asked to see the manager and he the manager plainly told me either to conceal it or back in the car. I obliged, went to the bathroom, flipped my holster and continues shopping. I can't believe they called the police on you. Some are cool as can be and some employees (larger female african decent) in my particular situation are a f*++++++ pain in the arse!!

I'll jump in here... I open carry at all times. I do not do it for attention, as I have had a long career behind the badge as a LEO. I too, have faced aggressive gunfire and survived, so far anyway... But as time goes on, I have gotten older, slower and less patient and more intolerant of the criminal element. I prefer that I not have to deal with them any longer. In my small town of approximately 2000, we have a significant criminal population and I was tested by them within a week of my wife and I moving in. My theory on open carry is as follows, AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION IS WORTH A POUND OF CURE. My mother in-law who is 91 years old, was visiting, and she made the comment as we left the house, aren't you afraid someone might attack you? I simply replied that if I were looking to attack someone, I would choose someone that did not appear to be quite as prepared as I am.
Also, after many years as a LEO, let me state for the record, the laws are written in the books for a reason. Read them yourself, get a legal opinion if necessary from an attorney, but do not trust a LEO to give you legal advise. That is not their job and they, just as the rest of us, have their own personal interpretation of the laws as written. In my case, as I suspect in most, I never had the occasion to arrest anyone for carrying a weapon ecept in the commission of another more serioous crime, so I never researched the law until I started carrying myself. I am still involved with a local law enforcement agency and really am not required to have a GWL, but I do anyway. I guess I do it for the same reason I wear a belt and suspenders, I just don't want to get caught with my pants down.
I apoligize for my excessive rant and will dismount my soapbox now. So much for a "quick reply".
Always remember and don't ever forget......now what was that....????

Geeeeez, imagine how the idiots in the general public are on the laws pertaining to carrying firearms if license holders, enthusiasts, and supporters are this confused. I think the law is foggy on purpose.

I'm moving to Wyoming lol :ballchain:
